Hi, my name is Gabe Bustamante. I’d like to tell you a little bit about who I am. I am a hardworking catcher/ pitcher who takes pride in being a leader on the field and off the field. To me as a catcher the biggest thing is to be a leader and to be able to control and support the pitching staff. Yes, baseball has always been a dream of mine, but I also understand how important academics are and how much they mean to me. I decided to attend the Webb Schools for an academic challenge because I knew that I could go to a public school and get a 4.0. But in life, I believe that you grow from challenges and when the going gets tough, I’m never going to give up. I’m never going to back down from a challenge. My main goal is to play the game I love for as long as I can. I love this game and everything that comes with it, the friendships, the mentors, and the memories. It is the reason why I play this game. I play baseball not to only grow better at it, but also to grow as a man on and off the field.
