I fell in love with baseball when I first played at the age of 3. I also come from a baseball family. One grandfather coached high school and college ball. The other had the best high school batting average in Orange County! I have had a natural God-given talent for the game and I’ve always worked my tail off to make the absolute most out of it.
Playing in college would be the culmination of all my years of hard work and dedication. As well as my #1 dream coming true. Playing baseball has taught me how to fight through adversity and the importance of accountability. Both of these have helped me academically as well as in other aspects of life. I try to be a better player every single day and I’m excited and eager to learn what good college coaches will teach me.
I would be a great addition to your team and you would not regret putting your faith in me! I am a leader and always a great example for the rest of the guys on the team. I’ve been the hardest worker on every team I have been on. I want to be as good as I can be and lead by example-inspiring teammates to do their best as well. I’m willing to do the hard work that it takes to get stronger and improve athletically. Ever since I got my driver’s license, I’ve been doing an hour commute 6 days a week to a training facility to show that dedication. In the past year doing this I’ve been able to get my Fastball velocity from 79 MPH to 83 MPH. My goal is to get up to 87-88 MPH in the next year.
I know I will be a solid college baseball player and make my team a better one. Just give me that chance!
UPDATE:
I had a very successful appearance at the invite-only PBR California State Games this summer. It was a collection of some of the top uncommitted players in the state. I ranked high on the leaderboards for a lot of hitting and athletic categories/metrics. I was in the top 5 in a few of them, among 70 participants. I also went 3 for 4 in the games against very good pitching. Here are some of the highlights:
On the pitching side, I've been working hard this offseason in a throwing program at Optimum Athletes. My goal is to get my pitching velo up to 86-88 by spring. I'm hitting PR's every couple of weeks in the gym, including a pulldown of 92.5 last week. I'm excited about my progress there, too.
