Since I was 7 years old, I have set my goals to ultimately prepare myself for college. As a teenager I was taught that I am the only one in control of my future and that I will only be rewarded for the amount of work I put in. As a student athlete, I have managed to succeed on the field and in class with my work ethic and dedication. On the baseball field, I've always strived to compete against the top talent, and put in extra hours while nobody is looking. Even though I have faced obstacles such as multiple injuries, I have kept myself in good spirits and in control of what I can control. Now that I am back healthy, I have learned to prepare myself better physically and mentally as I get ready for my senior year in high school. As a student, I have always made it a point that my grades will ultimately put me in a better position to be accepted into a good college. Therefore, I have managed to keep principal's honor roll throughout my 3 years of high school. What makes me different from other recruits is that I'm always willing to put in the extra hours to make sure I get things done the right way. I pride myself in learning from my failures and taking advantage of the opportunities I receive while holding myself accountable for my actions. I believe I will be an asset to whatever school I end up attending with the qualities mentioned above. I am eager to start my recruiting process and start communicating with coaches, admins, and have some campus visits to potential colleges.
