I began my journey of baseball at 9 years old. I was playing on a travel basketball team at 7 years old and I am the youngest out of 3 kids. My 2 other siblings played basketball and so did my dad. At 9 I wanted to try a new sport and fell in love with baseball. When I was 13, I went to Cooperstown, NY with my travel ball team Next Level and we had a great time. I competed against over 100 kids in an event called The Road Runner Challenge in which I beat everyone. It was awesome receiving all the appreciation from the other players in the camp. Some players we asking to take pictures with me and I felt like a celebrity. Unfortunately on the last day I was pitching and I was hit in the jaw by a line drive. I spent the next 4 months healing from a broken jaw and at most times I didn't think I would ever want to play baseball again. Thanks to love and support from my family, my coaches, and my team mates I was back on the the mound only 4 months later. I couldn't let an accident take me away from the love I have for playing this game.
I would love an opportunity to play beyond high school. I am currently enjoying high school and staying on top of grades is my main focus at the moment. Making Varsity my freshman year is an awesome accomplishment and I am enjoying the team bonding and training we are doing. I love spending time with my friends and I am very close with my family. They are my biggest supporter along with my travel ball coaches. I am grateful for the people in my life and I try to surround myself with like minded people.
