Grant Lockwood '19 Recruiting Profile

    My name is Grant Lockwood and I am Senior at Irvine High School in Southern California. My freshman season I was the starting 2nd baseman on varsity, batting second in the order and finishing the season with a .264 batting average. As a sophomore (and captain), I batted first and finished with a .260 batting average. And this junior season I batted .320 and was a captain as well. For the several years before high school, I did my best in excelling as a leader on and off the baseball field. It has become natural to me and I have been able to apply it to the classroom as I was the Freshman Class President,  Sophomore Class President, Junior Class President, and am now my school's ASB President.  I have learned how to work with classmates and teammates the right way and feel I have been successful at it for years now. 

    For college I would like to attend a University on the west coast, however I am definitely looking into schools located in states such as Colorado, Utah, Texas,  Florida, Georgia, and more. It has been my dream to play division one baseball ever since I understood the concept of it, and I work towards that goal every day.
