Will Rudy '19 Recruiting Profile

I am looking to further both my baseball and educational career to the fullest.  I enjoy playing with the highest level of competition on the field, I feel that only makes me a better ball player. This is why I am looking for a school where my athletic talent and abilities can be pushed to extreme limits.  Not only do I want that on the baseball field but, more importantly, in the classroom where I can pursue a career.  I want to play with new teammates and work hard to help my team achieve great success.  Any school that recruits me will get a good person on and off the field as well as a hard worker that gives a 110% effort. 

This past high school baseball season I was named First Team All-League.  It was a humbling feeling to receive such an award.  Now, with that I feel I want to push myself even harder than before to maintain being one of the best baseball players in the Pacific Coast League.  After the Varsity baseball season of my Junior year I was named a Senior Leader for the new school year.  In this upcoming season the baseball team will have a lot of underclass, inexperienced players coming to play Varsity.  It will be my job to help mentor this young, untested group to become successful my Senior season.  I will achieve this by walking the walk and not just talking the talk.  I feel the best leaders lead by example showing a hard work ethic, pushing your limits and helping everyone work together.  Of course, along with that we need to have some fun while working hard.  Work hard, play hard!

You can see my future goals along with my current mindset.  I have had the good fortune of having great coaches in my 12 plus years of playing baseball who have guided me on and off the field.  I believe with the mentoring of strong coaches, my work ethic and my capabilities as a strong baseball player I will be a positive addition to any college baseball program.
