Jack Gaines '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jack Gaines, I am a senior in high school at Littlerock high school in Littlerock, CA.  I first started playing baseball at the age of 3 which was tee ball.  Growing up I played a wide range of sports, but I was the most passionate about baseball.  Growing up my grandma would babysit me while my parents were at work and my sister was at school.  While she watched me we would always watch baseball games and especially the dodgers, so I think that is were I found a majority for my love and passion for the sport.  I've played travel ball since the age of 8, competing in tournaments all over the country.  If I was to describe myself as a player, I am a strong defensive  player at first base and I can also play anywhere in the outfield, as for my skills at the plate I  am strong hitter who can hit for power and average.  If you want more information about me here is my perfect game profile https://www.perfectgame.org/Players/Playerprofile.aspx?ID=515693 

I would like to thank my mom and dad for pushing me to take school so seriously and because of them I have had academic success.  I take school very seriously, if my school work isn't done or my grades aren't up to par I don't allow myself to go out with friends even on days off.  I want to become a physical therapist or a chiropractor and eventually open my own business for it.  As my high school days come to a end I can't be more excited to start my college journey.  I will be just as excited to be in a college classroom as I will be to be on a college baseball field.

I also play football for my high school, and looked up to as a leader on the team. I am a starting defensive end and tight end.  I have been a team captain on the varsity baseball team at my school since 10th grade.  I came in second place for most athletic in my senior class, but I won most friendliest.  I love to snowboard and ride dirt bikes, I also love competition, no matter what it is I want to win it.
