Since I was first introduced to the game of baseball, at the age of 4, I have committed myself to the sport by keeping an open mind, learning from my mistakes, improving upon my skills, being a team player, and maturing as an athlete and an individual. I’ve dedicated myself to approaching each practice and game with attention to detail and maximum effort while always treating coaches, teammates, opponents, umpires, and the game with respect.

On the surface, I am a student-athlete with the same aspiration as others, to play baseball at the collegiate level. What sets me apart is I understand hard work and sacrifice. I was born deaf and have always had to work harder than my hearing peers, both academically and athletically. I’ve had to make sacrifices in order to be part of a hearing world. And yet, in the face of adversity, my deafness does not define who I am, it is what has helped make me who I am. A high school student-athlete with a drive and commitment to earn a college degree and play collegiate baseball.
