Michael Gill '19 Recruiting Profile

I have been an athlete since I was very young.  I started to play baseball when I was 3 years old and have played football since I was 5 years old.  I began to play travel baseball when I was 10 years old, and currently playing with the Padres Scout Team Organization.  Also, as a freshman I played high school JV and Varsity baseball for John Glenn High School.  My freshman year ended with a 4.176 GPA.  I transferred to Cantwell Sacred Heart of Mary High School after my Freshman Year.  In my Sophmore year I earned Varsity Pitcher of The Year, 1st Team All League, and All League Pitcher of the Year.  As a Junior I also earned Scholar Athlete.  Throughout my baseball career, I played 3rd base , shortstop , 1st base, pitcher and plan on doing so at a college level.  My life is dedicated to family, school and sports as it is part of the fabric I am made of.  Although it was a true blessing to have the opportunity to pitch in the championship game in the USA Baseball 15U National Championships and an incredible experience earning the title with a 9-0 record.  It was extraordinary to witness how we came together as complete strangers and by the end of the tournament we created a bond that resulted in family.  It would be an honor to have the opportunity to experience this at the college level while graduating with a degree as scholar athlete. I am fully committed to put in the necessary work.
