Liam Rizzo '19 Recruiting Profile

I have had a passion for catching as long as I can remember. As a catcher, it's my goal to help my pitchers relax so we can play smoothly together. I am really focused on how we work together as teammates.  Just like a great hit, it's an awesome feeling for me when I'm in a groove with my pitcher.

I like all of the action with catching. It requires specific techniques and athletic skills, you are involved mentally and physically the entire game, and you need certain social skills to communicate and help create a confident team atmosphere. I finished my High School season with 3 home runs and 10 doubles. I was also named All-league 2nd team this year. 

Outside of baseball, I enjoy learning the basics of video and filmmaking. It's my second passion. When I have spare time, I try out new techniques, create content, and improve my editing skills.

I’m looking for the opportunity to join a program that is a good fit for me athletically and academically and to continue to grow and develop as a player. I think my biggest strength as a player and as a teammate is my work ethic and my level of determination. I believe I have the talent to compete for a college team, and it has been a lifelong dream of mine. I will bring my strengths of loyalty,  dedication, and perseverance to help provide a positive impact on your team.
