Jackson Hisey '23 Recruiting Profile

I gained my appreciation for the sport of baseball from my dad who played in the Pac12 and for the Seattle Mariners in the minors. I’ve competed in most sports (soccer, basketball, volleyball, football and baseball), but by the time I entered high school, I refined my interest to football (Varsity) and baseball (Varsity) during my freshman year. By sophomore year I knew that I needed to focus my efforts on baseball and have continued that dedication on both my high school team and travel team.

I chose my high school largely because of the great baseball program they offer. I was excited to play with a team and coaching staff that could help me develop my skills. I have had amazing opportunities on both my high school team and travel team to face tough competition when I am pitching and hitting, and I am hopeful that I will have that opportunity in college to continue to develop through competitive situations. I also believe that team chemistry is a key element to success, and have been fortunate to experience that on my teams.

I play with my all; my competitive spirit comes out when I play. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to the chemistry of a college team, and to give it my all on the field every day. 

In addition, academics are also important to me, and I have worked hard to achieve very good grades while balancing baseball. I am looking forward to the challenge that playing baseball at a collegiate level will bring, both competitively and academically.  I believe I am ready for the challenge!
