Hello, my name is Michael Gonzalez. I am a sophomore at Pasadena High School in Pasadena, California. I play varsity baseball for coach Michael Parisi. My positions are first base, third base and DH. As a freshman I played Soph/Frosh and JV for coach Barry Bacon and received the Most Valuable Player award. Prior to playing at Pasadena High School, I played Little League and Juniors for East Altadena, Pony for Sierra Madre, and on the Lookouts travel team.
During my Freshman year, I had a 3.3 GPA. My first semester as a Sophomore, I earned a 3.5 GPA. After completing high school my plan is to attend a 4 year university and study physical therapy while continuing to play baseball. My dream after getting my degree is to go on to play professional baseball.
For the last five years, I have volunteered for COPS 4 KIDS and most recently, I am the Juniors assistant coach for the Santa Anita Seminoles.
My top three characteristics are that I am a team player, I am disciplined, and always respectful. I am always looking for ways to better myself in training and fitness. I have an undeniable passion for baseball, enjoy being with my teammates, and appreciate the journey the game can take you on.
One of my favorite quotes are, ¨It's not the number on my back, it's not the color of my jersey, it's the drive in my will, it's my love for the game.¨
