Shane Jones '17 Recruiting Profile

My dream is to play College Baseball, receive my degree in Business and then play Professional Baseball. My whole life, my Dad has encouraged me to stay the course and never give up on my dreams.  From the age of 5, I have played baseball and given all my coaches 100 percent of myself.  I have been taught to respect my coaches, teammates and umpires and that I have a purpose when I'm on the field and off the field.  I am self-motivated and practice hard daily. A few years ago, I broke my left wrist and it bothered me to hit from the right side, so I started training and hitting from the left side of the plate.  I am now a switch hitter and train multiple times per week at the cages. I believe if I trust God, work hard (academically and athletically) and stay focused, I can overcome any challenge and will accomplish my dreams.
