Baseball has been an important part of my life since I was 7 years old. I became very passionate about baseball when I played travel ball at the age of 10. Travel ball helped me break out of my comfort zone and realize that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.
My travel team played in multiple Triple-A and Majors tournaments. I was our starting pitcher and I pitched against some well coached and talented majors teams. Baseball is a mental game, and without the mental strength and high baseball IQ, it can be difficult to win. I dominated on the mound because I have a high baseball IQ, the mental strength, and command of all my pitches. Throughout my career, I've learned what I am capable of and what my good qualities and assets are as a player. I show great leadership, mental toughness, discipline, and a have a good personality. Many parents, coaches, and players see this in me as I am always the first person to show up to practice and the last one to leave. Everyday you will always find me playing baseball or training in the weight room. I am a very dedicated player who puts in a lot of heart and effort into this game because baseball is what I love to do.
My 8th grade year was when I experienced my biggest setback, a broken ankle. I couldn't play baseball for 6 months and I felt as if a part of my life was missing. This setback motivated me to become better than ever. When I returned, my team won 4 championships in a row with me pitching all 4 championship games. I knew that all my hard work and dedication will soon pay off and it did.
I am looking for a college that can provide me with financial support and that can help me grow as a player. I want that college to believe in me and to help get me one step closer to achieving my dream. I am looking forward to playing for your team!
