Jesse Gutierrez '22 Recruiting Profile

My whole life, my goal has been to play at the college baseball level. My mindset everyday is to work harder than everybody else. I honestly would not know what to do with myself if i lost baseball. That is why i follow my daily routine like throwing with a friend, Lifting, and running. Some days I throw to batters from around the city. The only way to achieve my goal is to work harder than everybody else.

My name is Jesse Gutierrez out of Santa Clara California. I am a 5´11 185 Left Handed Pitcher. I can also throw right handed and can be used as a tool around the field. I have knowledge at every position on the field. Baseball has been around me since i came out f the womb. My 2 brothers played baseball. They have molded me into the player i am today. I started baseball at a very young age and played up my whole life. As a freshman i was on Varsity. The next year i was the Ace on varsity. My pitch rotation consists of a 4 seam Fastball/2 seam fastball, Curve-ball, change-up, and slider. I think my biggest strengths are to stay composed when things are not going my way and knowing what to throw to a batter. It has been hard during this pandemic to show what i am capable of to coaches since there are not any games. I appreciate all of my coaches that have gotten me here today. I am excited for what is ahead.
