I have wanted to play baseball at the collegiate level ever since I was playing tee-ball. Even while I was in little league, I wanted to get better to have the opportunity to play when I would be in college. My mom has always told me that I should go to college because having a better education will help me become successful financially and emotionally through the experiences that come with going to college. That is why I am attempting to take as many honors and AP classes as possible to get into a great college.
Playing baseball has shown me the value of never quitting, even if the situation seems bleak, that if I want to stand out amongst my peers, I need to put in more effort than them, and it has taught me that life can still be fun after all baseball is still a game. When I started playing, I was not the best player on the field, and that feeling clawed at me until I wanted to improve as a player; this feeling resonates within me today, I want to be the best player playing, and I will do whatever I can to be that player. I may not always be the smartest in my class in school, but I put in the most effort studying and learning to become the smartest eventually. To summarize, I will never stop trying to be the best at whatever it is I do.
