I grew up competing in baseball, football, basketball, track, volleyball and swim. I have challenged myself academically with AP classes, while maintaining a high GPA. My parents instilled in my siblings and me a strong work ethic and the importance of prioritizing our education - Student Athlete means student first and athlete second.
Competing in sports, whether it be in the backyard with my siblings or in one of my high school games, has made me into who I am today. Baseball, especially, has taught me how to handle failure, which is something that is so essential to have. Countless hours of making adjustments after failing to perform has made me stronger.
I am very grateful that I have my siblings to share my love and passion for baseball. My older brother, who is now currently playing collegiate ball, has helped guide my younger brother and me, to not just to be better baseball players, but better students. He has been a great role model and I absolutely want to follow in his footsteps. I hope that the inspiration and influence he has given me can help me guide my younger brother as he strives to be a competitive student athlete.
