Personal Statement

I am a 5’11 tall, 160Ibs rising Senior at Torrance High School and I graduate in 2024. I play Middle infield and Outfield and Pitch for my high school and travel ball team. My most recent accomplishment was earning defensive player of the year during my Sophomore 2022 season in the infield on JV while hitting .389/.520/.426, led the team with 15 stolen bases with 76 plate appearances, which was the most on the team.

Both my brother and sister played travel baseball and softball at very high competitive levels for many years. It was great seeing my sister compete and play softball at the collegiate level and graduate from college.

The biggest thing I have learned from this sport is that sometimes you have to fail to succeed in life and in sports and that will stick with me my whole life. This game is also very humbling because you are considered good if you only succeed 3/10 times. It has taught me to never stay complacent and if you are not getting better, you are getting worse.

My ultimate goal is to play Major League Baseball. However, I would love to play for a competitive mid-size to large college team while earning a good education in Sports Management.

I believe I am a good fit for your program because I am a strong competitor and strive to do my absolute best at everything I do. I want to play college baseball because I love the game and I enjoy competing with other players and am fully committed to playing at the next level. My goal this summer is to get bigger and stronger to help increase my exit velocity and speed.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
