My name is Ryan Monroy and I'm a 2024 graduate at Birmingham Community Charter High School in Southern California and I am a pitcher and a first baseman.
I've been playing baseball since before I turned three. I don't exactly remember how I fell in love with the game since I was too young to remember anything, but ever since then, it has become a passion and something I enjoy playing every minute. Baseball has taught me many important life lessons and encouraged everyday working habits like leadership, confidence and most importantly, how to stay calm and work through pressure. As a ballplayer, that's probably the most important aspect since anything is possible in this game. I believe that these qualities are what make me a very coachable, reliable and durable player.
My best memories of this game include throwing two no-hitters, being part of a combined no-no and just having fun with my teammates playing the game. I am academically-inclined and highly motivated to earning the highest grades possible in all of my classes.
When I am not playing ball or studying, I enjoy spending time with friends, my mom, dad and sister and just making strides towards general improvement.
In the end, I am a hardworking and dedicated player and I look forward to further better myself as a student and an athlete at the collegiate level.
