Carmine DeAvilla '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello, My name is Carmine DeAvilla. I have been playing baseball since I was 5. I have always loved baseball and really started studying the game at about 9 years old. I would beg my Grandparents to take me to every game in Little League so i could study every pitcher and every player batting. This made me a better pitcher and really improved my batting average. As an 11 yo I hit 11 HR for the year and pitched a full game to win the District Little :league 11 yo Allstars tournament against Red Bluff Ca. My 12 yo year was stopped by Covid so I joined a 13U travel team out of Mt. Shasta Ca. My 13 yo year started with the same team as 14U and the team only played in the spring. In June of 2021 I traveled to Atlanta, Ga. to play in a PG tournament with the St. Louis Pirates as a guest player and had a blast. When I returned home I started training with Playball Prospects out of Talent, Oregon. I was awarded the starting 1st baseman spot and made an unassisted double play in the first game I played for coach Sean Gallagher. I finished last season batting 500 with 7 HR's including one at 405 feet. I trained all last winter with Sean at the Gashouse and mid-winter I was in the top 10 worldwide for exit velocity and distance for my age group on Hittrax. This year I am still playing with Playball Prospects and the Gashouse Gang. This fall i will be a Freshman at Yreka High School in Yreka California and will be trying out for Basketball and Baseball. My goal is to play Varsity in both sports.
