Playing team sports has influenced the person I am today. At a young age playing sports exposed me to valuable experiences in friendship, teamwork, leadership, appreciation, respect, goal-setting, self-discipline, patience, and persistence. I’ve always had an interest in sports and my family has been there to encourage and support my dreams. By the age of nine baseball had become my focal point in sports. Playing team sports has helped me overcome shyness as a child. Baseball has allowed me build confidence and really opened my eyes to a whole new world. This confidence allows me to accept leadership roles, making me a better teammate, player, and student. All these skills I've gained help me stay balanced even when the game can be humbling. Even with all life’s road blocks the love of the game remains constant.
I’m looking for a college that will benefit me academically and athletically. My educational goal is to attend a four-year college and acquire a bachelor’s degree in science that will assist me in pursuing a career as an Athletic Trainer. I believe the skills I gain will drive me to compete at a very high level on your field and in the classroom.
