I want to continue my baseball career into college because I think there is still more I can accomplish. Baseball has been my favorite thing to do since I was a kid and I want to continue playing as long as possible. I would be a good candidate for a collegiate team because I am extremely coachable, I'm a hard-worker, and I display leadership through my actions on the field and in the dugout. I work hard in the classroom as well. I currently have a 3.9 unweighted GPA. School has always been something I've pushed myself at in order to be the best I possibly can.
One thing that sets me apart from others is my grit. Until recently, I was always one of the smallest kids on the field which put me at a disadvantage. I had to work extra hard in order to keep up. Now that I am beginning to grow into my frame, I am seeing all the hard work begin to pay off.
I am also a multi-sport athlete as I am a varsity tennis player as well. I qualified for the state tournament my sophomore year and placed in the top 15 in the state.
I made varsity as a sophomore in baseball where I contributed early, splitting time in the infield. Unfortunately, my season was shortened due to a knee injury, but I have fully recovered from that and am excited to play my junior year.
My current club team is the Mile High Miners where I bat leadoff and play shortstop. I enjoy playing for this team because the coaches are focused on improving us and getting us ready for college.
All in all, baseball is one of the most important things in my life and I would love to get the opportunity to play at the collegiate level.
