Austin Romero '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Austin Romero. I attend Durango High school and I play varsity for the Durango Demons. I have played varsity since my freshman year of high school and I am the captain of the team. 

I would like to play Baseball at the next level of competition in college. I want to pushed past my limits physically  and mentally and get comfortable being uncomfortable. I feel I am very coach-able and pick things up quick. One thing I've learned in my baseball career and in other sports is to never take anything personal which has served me well in life and in sports. I can excel in almost any environment anyone puts me in. There are three things you can always control which are attitude, effort, and, belief which are things you will always find in me.  

I take academics just as serious as sports. Currently I'm very interested in Business and Finance. In the future I'd love to be a financial advisor. My grades stay high because I've been held to a high standard all of my life. I can bring a high standard into any classroom and make so an impact on the other students.
