Personal Statement

Since I was five years old, I have enjoyed playing baseball. When I joined my first competitive team at age ten,  I was not confident in myself. I was scared of the ball and I only got one hit the entire season. However, instead of deterring me, that tough season was what solidified that I wanted to play baseball. The failures of that season made me determined to become a better player and lead me to work harder than I ever had before.

I was fortunate enough to have an amazing Dad and coaches. They taught me many baseball skills as well as many of the mental parts of baseball. I learned to always be confident in myself and if I mess up not to linger on my mistake, but instead learn from it and move on. I am as committed to my education as I am to baseball. Some of my interests include math, computer science, and engineering. I am looking for a college that not only can accommodate my love for baseball but also can provide me with learning opportunities so that I can grow academically.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
