My name is Blake Mosenteen, and I am a 2020 graduate from Holyoke High School in Holyoke, CO. I have grown up in Holyoke, which is a small farming community in the northeast corner of Colorado. I am part of a 4th generation farm. I spend much of my time outside of school and sports working on this farm, and I am grateful for the work ethic this has instilled in me. My primary goal is to get a good education while continuing to learn the life lessons that will be instilled in me through collegiate baseball. At my high school I have had the privilege to compete in Varsity football, basketball, and baseball throughout my high school career and in Track and Field as a freshman. I am a very well –rounded student athlete, and each of these experiences has helped shape me into the persistent and dedicated leader that I am today. The ability to compete in a variety of sports and several other extra-curricular and community activities has taught me a great deal about time management, dedication, and commitment to excellence. Academically, I also currently maintain a 3.743 GPA and make excellence in the classroom a priority as well. Coming from such a small community, I have also been traveling to play more competitive baseball since I was 12 years old. I have played both on our local baseball teams as well as on club baseball teams for the last 6 summers, which has required a great deal of dedication and sacrifice on both my part and the part of my family as we travel three hours one way for practices and tournaments. I am very blessed to have these opportunities, and I believe they are preparing me in a unique way for the demands of playing college baseball in just one short year. Overall, I believe what sets me apart and makes me a tremendous asset to any college baseball program is that I am a dedicated and versatile student athlete who is very well prepared to continue my pursuit of excellence as a member of a college baseball team.
