My name is Tim Stokes, a 2020 graduate of Niwot High School in Colorado. I am the starting second baseman on the varsity baseball team and am very interested in attending an institution with a strong academic and athletic reputation.
On the field, I have the highest batting average on my team at .464. Additionally, my OBP is .559 and lead the team with a slugging % of 1.059. Growing up, I was always the smallest player on my team. Although difficult at times, this taught me that in order to succeed, I needed to work harder and smarter than everyone else. I am a true contact hitter (only 2 strikeouts over the last 2 seasons) and am considered “a very difficult out” by opposing teams. I feel as though I am a great teammate and tend to lead by example.
Academically, I am ranked 3rd in my class at Niwot with a 4.42 weighted GPA. My course load includes AP English, Calculus B/C, AP History, and AP Physics. My goal is to pursue a career in medicine.
In addition to my high school team, I will be playing for the Colorado Rough Riders 18U team this summer. If I can help to answer any questions regarding either my athletic or academic background, please feel free to contact me.
