Matthew Cook '20 Recruiting Profile

Coming in first place in the AAU league I played in last year was definitely an amazing experience. Our team, CT Mayhem, finished the season with a record of 41-11 and won three tournaments in addition to league games. I learned a lot about myself over the course of the season and improved upon my leadership skills and work ethic as a result of facing good competition. It was great to see the team come together over the course of the season and I really enjoyed the camaraderie of my teammates and coaches. 

Outside of school I enjoy a variety of activities such as skiing, tennis, swimming, and over the past year I have really enjoyed strength training. I'm fascinated by topics involving science and in particular, astronomy and things involving concepts of space. I also enjoy spending time with my family as I'm very close with them. 

I am a Freshman now, but I believe in a couple of years the hard work and dedication that I'm putting in will pay off and position me to be the type of student athlete you will want in your organization!
