Baseball is a huge part of my life. I am the first to the field and last to leave. I may not be the tallest or the strongest but I am devoted to baseball. I am fast so my freshman year I was a pinch runner for the varsity team. I started playing baseball when I was 9 years old. I always tried out for travel but always made the B teams. When I switched to a new program in a different town when I was 14, I made the A team. I also played middle school baseball. I made the team from 6th-8th grade. When I was in 8th grad, I became the team captain. My academic goals for high school is to have a greater than 85 average every quarter until I graduate. Scholarships will also help I am looking for a school that will allow me to fulfill my dream of playing college baseball and allowing me to further my education and get a degree. I am open to different types of schools.
When I was a freshman, my high school team beat our rival for the first time in more than 30 years even though I was only in the game as a pinch runner. That moment shaped me because it made me realize that I still contributed to the win. The highlight was when my team won the game to get into states and everyone was excited since we have not made it that far in awhile. What influenced who I am is when a senior of 2017 on my team said to always try your best because you don’t want to be thinking your senior year “I wish I could have done this instead of this.” He showed me what leadership looked like. I feel I would bring good character to your team and many other qualities.
