Benjamin Isenstein '22 Recruiting Profile

I earned the starting catcher position as a freshman at GFA and I made the 19U Stamford Legion team at age 15, again as the starting catcher. My coach, Pat Vigilio, has this to say about my 2021 season: “Ben did a great job this year! Coming into our season, Ben was in fantastic shape. Ben was our leader behind the plate and our most improved player. We lost Ben for a short period of time due to Covid protocol. His absence was very noticeable and impacted the overall team chemistry. Ben brings a great deal of leadership to our team on and off the field. Ben hit in the middle of the order for us this year and was a productive hitter.” I won the 2021 Class Athletic Prize, awarded to an outstanding junior who has demonstrated sportsmanship, commitment, and excellence in athletics.  My strengths are my work ethic; baseball IQ; quickness; game-calling/leadership;  and receiving pitches.
