My name is Cody Heselton. I am currently a Junior at Glastonbury High and play for their Varsity Baseball Team. I also play for Baseball U Central CT which is an AAU travel team out of Newington, CT. I am a left-handed batter, a left-handed pitcher, and also play center and left field.
I have been playing baseball since I was 6 years old, which started with T ball, then Little League, and now High School and AAU travel ball.
The love for baseball runs in my family. My father was my first coach who showed me how to hold the bat, how to throw the ball, and ultimately foster a passion for the game.
I dream big and I go after my dreams. As many other young baseball players, I dream of playing baseball in college. I don't know what the future holds for me , but I know that I will be working hard in the classroom and on the baseball field. I am a very coach-able person and I have taken advice, along with constructive criticism, from my past and present coaches. I am very grateful to all of the coaches that provided me with important advice and knowledge about the game. Baseball is a game ups and downs and one of the most important things that I have learned from my coaches is how to maintain good body language if things don't go well on the field. I was always told that people are always watching so maintaining good body language will help me achieve my dreams.
If I were ever given the opportunity to play at the next level, I would continue to work hard at becoming a better player and a key member of any team.
