JUCO MIF TRANSFER
Dear Coaches,
My name is Dennis Machial and I am a 5’9 150 lb MIF at UCONN Avery Point (JUCO) looking to transfer for the upcoming 2023 fall. During the first half of the season I started at shortstop while I hit in either the 8 or 9 spot. I started off slow with the bat and struggled defensively for the first couple games, but was able to overcome that and finish much better up until I got hurt. I was able to come back for the last couple weeks of the season with the team just when playoffs started, but I did not get a chance to get back on the field. Our team went 24-13-1 and was one game away from making the JUCO World Series. My summer season was much better as I got to play for my Team DBI based out of Mystic, CT coached by Pete Kiefer who is also the current strength/conditioning coach at UCONN Avery Point. I led off hitting .315 while stealing 20 bases and also maintaining a .978 fielding average. I believe that despite my initial struggles during my freshman year at UCONN Avery Point, I bounced back with both a strong summer and fall. My success will continue to carry over into the spring as we get ready for the 2023 season.

Heading into my sophomore season I am looking to put on 10-15 lbs of quality mass and strength during the offseason. My biggest focus during last year was the mental side of the game, and now I plan on focusing more with the physical aspect both defensively and offensively. Our schedule will be released in February on … and additionally if you have any camps or showcases coming up, please keep me posted. I would love for you to see me compete in person. If you would like additional footage or have any questions than refer to my contact information below.
Please feel free to contact my coach, Ian Ratchford, at 203-313-3590 or, Pete Kiefer, at 860-705-0012 as a reference or for any questions.
