Throughout my baseball career, I've always been one to want to get better and perfect my craft. Throughout my younger years in Little League, I was fortunate enough to make my towns' All-Star team and advance to the sectional level. This experience of camaraderie at such a young age was one of the main sparks for my passion to play and continue to grow as not only a baseball player but a better teammate and a person in general. It wasn't until my 7th grade year that I took the mound for the first time after my coach convinced me that I'd be good at it. I soon fell in love with it and devoted a lot of time into developing the ins and outs of what it means to be a good pitcher.
During my sophomore year, I became a part of our schools' Varsity pitching staff. I was primarily a reliever but over that summer, with an 18u college prep team, I shifted more towards a starter role. This allowed me to present my leadership skills to my coach whilst being the youngest on the team. I believe that this upcoming year is going to be the most important year in my life in terms of athletics and academics. Therefore, maintaining my GPA and/or raising it is a top priority. I am a fond believer, as well, in being a coachable player. Being able to take constructive criticism knowing that any comment is meant to help rather than put me down is also another belief of mine. Knowing when someone is referring to me as a player rather than a person allows me to do just that.
