I am a Christian, multi-sport athlete but baseball is my favorite of the three I play (baseball, basketball, football). I have played baseball since I was five years old and desire to play at the college and professional levels. I can and have played everywhere on the field, but I primarily play short stop, catcher, and pitcher. In seventh grade I earned the utility player award and the all-conference player award on the varsity team. I will play anywhere my team needs me and I am a team player first. While playing football this year I earned the offensive MVP award and the Marlin award which is based on leadership, character, and work ethic. My parents are my biggest influence and they have taught me the importance of leadership, discipline, humility, and honesty. I love to compete, to challenge myself, and to challenge my teammates.
I learn new techniques very quickly and can make adjustments on the fly. I believe leadership, coachability and a positive attitude are critical to team success. While I play different sports year-round, I continue to work on strength, agility, and baseball specific skills throughout. This includes fielding, hitting, pitching and catcher specific training.
I would love to stay in the Southeast to be close to family as my family is very important to me. I will, however, go anywhere baseball takes me if it gives me a chance to continue play at the next level. My grades are as important to me as my athletic accomplishments. I am very interested in math, science, and engineering and have the desire to eventually become an architect. I am looking for a school that will continue to challenge me in these areas to make me one of the best in that field.
