Jeffrey Passantino '14 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5’10” 170 lbs. Pitcher/1st baseman from Fort Myers, Florida.  I started the 2013 Spring High School Baseball season going 3 for 3 at the plate with two homeruns, and pitched 4 innings with 9 Strikeouts and no walks. After 3 starts I have 31 strikeouts in 15.1 innings and a 0.00 ERA.  As of 3-1-13 I am currently ranked in the Top 3 Nationally compared to all 2014 Pitchers in Wins, ERA, and Strikeouts.  I am looking forward to a productive Spring ('13) High School season, and strong Summer baseball season. This past year I ended the season with a 1.12 ERA with a record of 10-1 which included 8 complete games. The complete games included the District Final, Regional Final, and State Semi-Final Games. I was voted to First Team All Area as a Sophomore for South West Florida. This past Summer ('12) I played for FTB Pride and SWFL Baseball 17U; participating in several PG/Showcase Tournaments including the 2012 WWBA National Championship Tournament 17U in Marietta, GA, and was voted to the WWBA All tournament Team. I was also invited to the 2102 PG Jr. National Showcase in Minneapolis, MN. I pitched two innings striking out 5 of 6 batters; ending the inning with an infield pop-up. I am looking for a competitive program both Athletically and Academically. It is important to play for a Program that I can make a contribution early in my College career. My Dream has always been to be Drafted and play in the MLB. Baseball is truly my life, and I never want to put the baseball down. I love competing against the best competition, and I rise to the occasion when I am being challenged. I thrive in pressure situations. I am looking forward to committing to a D1 College where I can contribute to the Team, and grow academically.
