Since the first time I picked up a baseball, I have felt a different type of love. Even though I had a later start than others my age, I felt like that's what I wanted to do. I have never been the biggest or the strongest, but one thing I’ve always had is speed. Over the years, my teammates have always considered me a sparkplug, getting the team prepared and making something happen, whether it's on the field or in the box.
My family doesn't have a baseball background other than my dad. Even though he only played in high school, he alone has taught me how to be a man on and off the field and how to be a pretty good baseball player. My parents have always been behind my back with whatever I do, and they always tell me to give it all I've got. My mom didn't play any sports in high school, but she always gives me the best feedback on whether I am doing good or bad. She will always say what she thinks I need to work on. Without my parents and Jesus Christ, I would never have been where I am today.
In the past two years, I've set my sights on playing college baseball and have been working nonstop to get as close as possible to reaching my goal. One thing my parents always ask me is what my backup plan is. My answer is to get my criminal justice degree and become an FWC officer ( Fish and Wildlife ) or to get a trade to become a linesman.
Ultimately, baseball isn't all I want to do, but it is the biggest thing I want to do. Baseball takes up most of my time, but if I’m not doing something related to baseball, I'm either fishing, helping my dad around the house, or outside enjoying life. Hopefully, you learned a little more about me throughout reading this, and hopefully, we get the chance to speak more.
Thank you for your time
