When I was 4 years old, my father signed me up for my county’s little league and it did not take me too long to find out that playing baseball was my passion and it was what I wanted to do when I grew up. After 10 years of playing in my country, my family decided to emigrate to the USA from Venezuela. That was a true challenge for me since I was completely new in this country, I did not speak English or have money to get my baseball equipment, and honestly did not know how to continue my career. Playing baseball has taught me not only physical skills but also has helped me to grow as a person, realizing that in life I have to be patient and constant if I want to achieve anything. Also, to understand that even when things go wrong, it is just an incredible opportunity to improve something in my life.
My goal in high school is to achieve the highest GPA that I can possibly accomplish in order to be able to have more opportunities to get a scholarship. Getting a scholarship is my only chance to continue my baseball career while I get a college degree at the same time. I am a very constant individual that knows that discipline is the key to be successful in this sport. I have always stood out on any team that I am a part of because of my running ability and also for my versatility as a player, being able to have a great performance even playing on multiple positions. For that reason, I am confident that my addition will make a great impact on your team.
