Personal Statement

My goals are to be a self motivator, strive to make a difference in the lives around me on and off the field. I have had to overcome the loss of my oldest sibling in a house fire during my eighth grade year of school.  Brandi was 24 years old when she left this earth. Wearing number 33 from the time I can remember had meaning to me because it was the age Jesus gave his life for us, and one of the greatest basketball players of all times, Larry Bird wore 33.  Mr. Bird used strong ethics to over come obstacles like living in a small rural community with limited exposure like me. I now wear number 24  with pride to honor my sister, Officer Brandi Jackson, who served as a Police Officer in our home town before she passed away.  I hope to make a difference in someone's life in the same way that Jesus, Larry Bird and my sister Brandi have motivated me to have faith, ethics and perseverance to become the man I wish to be. You will see #B24Forever on media I am associated with to honor Brandi. Thank you for your time to read my personal statement.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
