My name is Derek Lopez. I am 16 years old and I am a 2023 graduate originally from Trumbull, Connecticut and now reside in Windermere, Florida. I specialize as a catcher and outfielder as secondary. However, I am also a pitcher (FB 89, CB 68, Cutter 76). I am a 6ft and 190-pound versatile athlete, with a 5.07 weighted GPA and have interest in atmospheric space sciences, and meteorology/business management for college. I am enrolled in an academic program (APEX academy) that allows me to take many advanced classes, including AP and Honors courses. On my High School Baseball Team , I am the starting catcher for Varsity as of the 2020 spring season (9th and 10th grade). My Pop time is currently 1.84. My batting average currently sits at .450 and my on base percentage is .400. My strongest tool is speed running a 6.59 -60 yard dash, which I maximize by turning base hits into extra base hits and being a smart and aggressive runner on the base path. I look forward to meeting you and seeing you at the fields!
