My name is Eric Hernandez. I am a senior at Armwood High School where I’m part of a baseball program that encourages individuals to take price in one self and in the school. I have been playing baseball since I was 5 years old; been associated in various AAU teams, and have the gift to play various positions. My participation in this sport has taught me the values of teamwork, self-confidence, and respect. These values have helped influence my character which will help me in my college years and with my career choice in my future. My personality reflects the strength and mental clarity that I developed through baseball. I have learned that in order for a successful season an athlete must respect: their coaches, teammates, and their opponents. It is necessary to respect the coaches because they are the people who help the athletes reach their season goals. Like coaches, teammates are as important to a team's success. My teammates are an important part of my success. During practice I've always had someone pushing me, to help me achieve maximum results. Teams make the player a part of something that matters. They are the fountain from which all rewards will flow. Given the opportunity to play for a college team is not only one of my goals but a dream come true; where I promise to work hard on and off the field.
