Dedication and hard work describes who I am. Anything I do in life I give it my all. I try to do everything as perfect as I can. I take pride in my schoolwork and spend many hours a night trying to perfect my homework, and study to get that "A". I live my life based on the fact that everything has to be earned not given. I give it my all in school to major in Biomedical Sciences since I've always had a strong point in sciences as well as math. Maintaining a high GPA with challenging courses is important to me. I always like a challenge so I choose to take the high-level courses since other courses may be easier and less challenging, they won't prepare me for college and even life as much as the harder courses. I always strive to have a positive attitude around my coaches and teammates so it will set a good example to the other players. After all, baseball is a game of failure and a way to overcome failure is a positive, confident mindset.
I started playing baseball when I was four years old; I started feeling passionate about baseball when I was seven. My dad and I would go to the field and he would hit me hot shots with a tee ball for hours, and I loved the competition which was a factor in how I became passionate about baseball. I've played a variety of sports like football, basketball, and lacrosse. Sports have been an important part in my life ever since I was young. I play sports with a lot of heart especially baseball. Heart is something that can't be measured and defines me as a baseball player. I am also very grounded in my Christian Faith which gets me through a lot of adversity I battle.
Baseball has helped me realize that I can push myself more than I ever thought, a little more each time, whether I’m fielding, hitting, running, or in the gym. Some people used to say "oh your too small" and I took it to fuel the fire inside of me to prove them wrong every time I step on the diamond. Baseball has also strengthened my mental toughness which helps me in every aspect of my life. Playing baseball also increases my hunger to want to win and be the best in every baseball game I play, or anything in general. Winning has always been a part of me.
