Since the first time I played baseball, I knew it was the sport for me. The ability to get better through hard work and dedication, to improve based on how much work I was willing to put in, the grind of the game...I love that about baseball. That is why I have put in years of hard work and dedication on and off the field. Of course, I work very hard at baseball, but I also understand the incredible importance of academics. That is why I pride myself in having a 4.0 GPA (4.26 weighted) while taking mostly honors classes. I am participating in student government and volunteer my time to help others through my church and the Red Cross. My school work and volunteering has help me to develop a strong sense of ethics and accountability. Making good choices, setting goals and holding myself accountable are the keys to long term success in my life both on and off the baseball field.
Baseball wise, I just finished my sophomore at Oxbridge Academy (4A) in West Palm Beach, Florida. I played and started at second base in all 22 games. We finished fourth in our district (out of 8 teams) with a 10-12 record, playing a tough out of district schedule. I finished the season leading the team in avg (.369), OBP (.474), hits (24) and stolen bases (12/13). Defensively, I had 74 total chances making only 4 errors on the season. It was an excellent season with my hard work really paying off on the field. I am excited about the next two years of school ball. I am now anxious to turn towards the summer as I am proud to say I have been selected to play on Elite Squad Prime for the 2017 summer season as well. We will play an intense 6 game tournament schedule this summer at some of the best events in the nation.
Finally, I try to do something everyday to help me improve as a ballplayer and a student-athlete. Three times a week I participate in speed and agility classes at Athlete's Advantage and I hit almost daily at The Power Alley (a local indoor facility owned by my uncle). I pride myself on working hard to be a strong leader on and off the field. I am dedicated to do whatever it takes to improve myself and get to the next level both on the on the field and in the classroom. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile, I hope you are interested in what you see and I look forward to meeting you in the near future.
