My hope for my college experience is to excel in my academics and as an athlete. Character, work ethic and handling adversity are what set me apart from other recruits. I am fortunate to have parents who are both professional athletes. My mother was an All-American golfer for the University of Kentucky and played professional golf including Major Golf Championships while my dad is a Head Golf Professional . They have taught me from experience the importance of an athlete’s character, work ethic and the hardest lesson of all, how an athlete handles adversity when it inevitably comes their way. I feel these skill sets have made me a player who excels in a team atmosphere while still trying to individually excel at my positions. While playing baseball is my passion, my academics are equally as important. I have maintained a 3.8 GPA while taking Honors & AP classes. It’s not always easy but I have tried to learn how to balance my time between academics, baseball, friends and family. I still have more to learn but time management is a skill set that will definitely help me be prepared for my college classes and baseball season.
