Garrett Hurst '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Garrett Hurst. I am a Junior at Wildwood High School in Wildwood, FL and it is my dream to play college baseball. I am 5' 9" 215 pounds and run a 5.0 in the 40 yard dash. I am a solid Third Baseman with good range and an above average arm. My stregth on the mound is when I make relief apearances or to close games with a live fastball and exceptional curveball and splitter. I am a very good contact hitter with power. For that reason, I batted lead off a few games as a Freshman then the rest in the six hole on Varsity. My Sophomore year I batted third on Varsity. I lead with my actions on the field and push my teammates and myself to give it their all. I would like to be a high school teacher/coach so I can continue in the sport I love. As for my goals, I want to be able to play as a Freshman in college and to help my team win and succeed as much as I am able.
