Drew Fields '23 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to attend an institution which excels in academic and athletic accomplishments. I am achievement oriented and wish to become a leader in academics and baseball. My strong work ethic has prepared me for the challenges involved with becoming a student athlete and a leader on campus in 2023. I plan on pursuing a major in Biology or Engineering.

I am interested in universities with high academic credentials and competitive baseball programs. My academic endeavors are my top priority. In the classroom, I am a high achiever, always maintaining a 4.0 GPA in honors level classes. I was elected President of Durham Middle School Beta Club and I participate in Advanced Band. I scored in the 98th percentile for PSAT (1160 /1440) at the beginning of my eighth grade year.  I am well spoken and intelligent, and I value the friendships of my classmates and teammates.

On the field, I am a Bracket-Level LHP, who is strong and fast. My strengths on the mound are my composure, command and pitch variety. At the plate, I have always hit over .400, led in slugging percentage and I love to work the count against opposing pitchers. I am tall and fast, and I run the bases aggressively. I play baseball with composed passion, high energy and absolutely love this sport.
