When I think about myself as a person I think about three things that are important to me; my family, my education and baseball.
My family and I don't get a whole lot of "free" time to rest and relax because my younger brother also plays baseball for Team Elite, my sister plays for the Atlanta Vipers 06 team and I play for Team Elite so most of the time we are at tournaments, games or practices but when we do have time we enjoy sitting down for family dinners or spending time outside hiking, biking or just hanging out at the lake or in the mountains.
My education is also very important to me for a couple reasons. First of all my dad is a teacher and I was lucky enough to go to his school through middle school and see the importance of education not only from a students view but also from a teachers view. Secondly I know that one day baseball will end but a good education will last me forever.
Lastly Baseball has been a huge part of my life since I started playing travel baseball in Illinois at 8 years old. I was lucky enough to play for some great coaches in the suburbs of Chicago and now I am really glad I have a chance to be around all of the Team Elite coaches in Georgia.
One of my favorite inspirational quotes is "hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard" because it sums me up as a person, student, and athlete.
One day I hope to get the chance to use some of the great lessons I have learned from many great coaches and my parents to play at the College level I believe my work ethic, dedication to the team, discipline will be a great asset to any team.
