Eric Doyon '24 Recruiting Profile

I am a power-hitting first baseman who exceeds at picking bad throws out of the dirt. I also can play the outfield or DH when needed. I am one of the hardest-working players during the offseason and during the regular season. I can be found at the gym, in the cage, or at the field most of the time.

My hard work has paid off by being selected to the Augusta Chronicle’s All-Area Team, winning the Augusta Christian Offensive Player of the Year and Christian Character Awards, and being a key contributor to Augusta Christian’s first championship team in 16 years.

One of the toughest moments in my life is when I was cut during my freshman year of high school. Many of my coaches and teammates were surprised but not as much as I was. I could have given up and quit but I just started to grind harder and used that disappointment as fuel to push me forward. I made varsity my sophomore year and did not look back as I was determined not to be outworked.

As one of the leaders on the Augusta Christian high school team, I am constantly mentoring the underclass. From helping with their hitting or giving training tips in the weight room, I have no problem sharing my knowledge because I know it will make us better as a team.

I would like to play ball at the collegiate level and pursue a degree in business. Someday I would like to own a gym whether through franchising or personally. I am an A/B student who works to get good grades even though I struggle with a little dyslexia.
