Jaylen Tookes '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I am Jaylen Tookes. I am a leader and team player in baseball and other settings.  I also work well in teams outside of sports and I strive to set examples for my team mates and others around school and the community.  My skill set in baseball include being versatile in the positions that I can play.  This year, I have had the opportunity to play several positions: pitcher, outfield, 2nd base, and catcher.  I have also played first base in the past.

This summer 2024, I was a member of the Upward Bound scholars, in preparation for college enrollment.  It was a great learning experience in social settings, team building, problem solving, and attitude both on the field and in other settings. I also got the opportunity to gain more knowlege about several college baseball programs from the campuses we visited.

This past 2024, I continued with personal training, playing with the Braves RBI team as pitcher, and with the American Legion Post 77 travel league.  I participated in the GA/FL Border Bash Baseball tournament.  This summer 2024 I was invited to play with several travel teams.

This fall2024 I am strengthning my abilities by joining the cross country team at Morrow High School.  I am also a member of the America Business League Association (ABLA) at my school.  

Overall, I strive to be my best all around and with my mindset to be team player.  I like to win so I aim to achieve my dream to be a ball player by participating in personal training with a professional trainer.  Thank you.
