6/13/2023 Recruit...Currently, I play football and baseball at the high school level as well as take a full load of Gifted/Advanced and Dual Enrollment courses. I have played travel baseball since I was 5 while maintaining an A average overall throughout my school career. I live in a very rural town which makes things challenging from access to "different" activities outside of farming and manufacturing, but I have tried to find opportunities outside of this avenue. My grandparents live near Atlanta which has helped me grow and have the change to be exposed to bigger town experiences, seeing bigger things, and knowing the opportunities I have at my disposal should I want to leave my small town - which I do. I aspire to be able to make a choice in my future rather than being "pigeon holed" or limited into a career because of a lack of options or my own work ethic. This has created a bit of a drive in me that I feel will prove positive as I move into the next chapters of my life. While I love my small town and feel that I have gained a community of support, I feel that this will only help to support my future efforts. Academically, I am still exploring career options and am torn with what my future career looks like - physical therapy, theology, real estate business, or coaching are all options I've considered for myself. I do know that I love baseball and have since birth. I feel like my coaches and family have been my biggest support system across time. While I know I am not always the best, biggest, or strongest, I know that my heart and love for the game is clearly demonstrated on and off of the field. The lessons I've learned on the baseball field are those that have driven me to be a better, God fearing individual with clear morals and guidelines by which I live my life. I truly want to make a difference in the lives of others and feel that baseball/sports and my church community are my current avenues for this. This is what I feel makes me different from other athletes that may be in it only for the sport itself. I strive to use the sport as my platform for not only passion but also for Christ as this is the driving force for my life.
