Growing up, I always thought I would be a basketball kid, and until this last season that was true. In freshman and sophomore year, I focused on basketball and grew frustrated with baseball as my ability to play was severely limited with a reoccurring back injury. I started going to physical therapy and finally being healthy, I fell in love with the game of baseball. This past school year I decided to fully focus my efforts on baseball, and have grown as a player with much more potential for future growth.
During the high school season, whenever the team was sounding dead my coach would tell me to get everyone fired up. One thing I take pride in is my ability to motivate my team and keep everyone's mind on the game. I have always loved a competitive atmosphere, and that's one of the reasons I would like to play baseball in college. I am naturally a very competitive person and feel I would bring a great atmosphere to any baseball program.
Whether it's in the classroom or on the field, i always give 100% and strive to do my best. I am looking for a college that has high academic standards that would allow me to further my academic career in a strong classroom environment.
