Hi, my name is Connor Martin, I currently play baseball for Houston County High School in Warner Robins, Georgia. My positions are third base, shortstop, second base, catcher, and right hand pitcher. This past summer I played for 5 Star National Weaver where I was selected to the 2017 17U WWBA and BCS National Championship All-Tournament Teams.
My father serves in the United States Air Force; therefore, I have had the opportunity to see much of the country where I qualify for in-state tuition in Georgia and Texas. Additionally, because of his service I will be able to utilize his Post 9-11 GI Bill to help pay for college expenses. Relocating every couple of years has given me the ability to make friends easily and the social tools to quickly adjust and fit into new situations both on and off the field. I find I must continuously prove myself to different coaches and new teammates in order to earn my spot on the team. As the “new kid” sometimes it is challenging for me to break into the internal politics and barriers within many baseball organizations; however, between my baseball skills and witty personality I have been successful in doing so.
I have loved and played the game of baseball since the age of three. I work hard and I strive to improve every day. I am a leader on and off the field and a dedicated team player. Baseball is my passion and my goal is to continue playing at the collegiate level. Although I was born in Texas and both of my parents are graduates from Oklahoma State University, being a military family means home is where you hang your hat. Therefore, I have no school preferences and am open to any opportunity that allows me to play baseball at a higher level and get a college education.
Thanks for viewing my information and for being interested in my abilities as a baseball player and as a student athlete.
